Dec. 19th, 2015 04:01 pmLiz could hardly be more relieved to see her door to Milliways appear.
Someone who happened to look might see the pouring rain she's leaving behind as she shuts her door behind her; otherwise, the same conclusion might be drawn from Liz's appearance. She carries a wilted umbrella in one hand, the other hand tucked into her coat, where she has hunched protectively over her camera. She tosses the umbrella aside, pulls off her sodden hat and does the same, then carefully pulls out the camera and sets to looking it over to make sure it has come through its ordeal unscathed.

Date: 2015-12-19 09:50 pm (UTC)She shoves a bit of hair out of her face and says, an unaccustomed edge of frustration cracking through, "You know how men get. We're here to do this job, so we'll do it, even when it doesn't make sense anymore."

Date: 2015-12-19 11:33 pm (UTC)Maybe it would be safe to leave the hat and jacket near the fireplace? No, better not. Helen's noticed a lot of things going missing around the bar lately.

Date: 2015-12-20 12:06 am (UTC)She studies the hat, shaking her head a little, but it's probably salvageable. "Ask the bar, then come up to my room? I'll make coffee."

Date: 2016-01-18 04:57 pm (UTC)She half expects this not to work, as she follows Helen towards her door. Surely people can't just come and go into other people's worlds and times like that?

Date: 2016-01-18 05:38 pm (UTC)Once they're in, she bustles over to the room door and checks that it's locked: no interruptions. "Now. If anyone asks, you came up by the back stairs. And you came in--hm--you got a ride from a farmer from--Agua Fria." Hadn't some people from there come through recently? "--But only if anyone asks."

Date: 2016-01-18 05:42 pm (UTC)"Agua Fria," she echoes absently. She's from Minnesota, forgive her pronunciation.
Then, remembering her manners, she says, "This is where you live? It's very nice."
